FAQ

Clear answers for the preview, Premium, and the installed app.

A practical reference for what the website preview is, what Premium changes, where purchases happen, and how support works once you are using the installed app.

Question 01

Is the website preview the real installed app?

No. The website preview is a curated showcase of the product interface. It demonstrates the main screens and navigation without live account connections, provider authorization, imports, purchases, or personal data entry.

Question 02

Does the website preview depend on live integrations?

No. The public preview is intentionally sandboxed and built from demo content so it remains visually functional and safe even when backend services or third-party providers are unavailable.

Question 03

Do I need Premium to use Ink & Echo?

No. The core reading, listening, import, and library experience remains available without Premium. The unlock is for added comfort, control, and polish rather than withholding the basics.

Question 04

What does the one-time unlock include?

Premium currently covers features such as Sleep Timer, Bookmarks, Metadata Editing, Cover Replacement, Advanced Stats, AI Recommendations (powered by Gemini), Reader Presets, and Sync Across Devices. Future additions may be introduced over time and will be labeled clearly.

Question 05

Where do purchases and restores happen?

Purchases and restores happen in the installed app. The website can preview the Premium screen, but it does not run a live checkout or restore flow.

Question 06

Can I use my own files and optional source connections?

Yes, in the installed app. Ink & Echo is built around your library, your imports, and any optional services you choose to connect, with responsibility for those files and services remaining with you.

Question 07

How does cloud sync work?

Premium includes iCloud sync for your library state, progress, stats, bookmarks, annotations, folders, settings, and custom covers. Downloaded audiobook and ebook files remain local to each device. Sync uses the Apple ID already signed into iCloud on your device - no separate account is needed.

Question 08

Where can I get support?

Email support@inkandecho.app for help with imports, playback, Premium, iCloud sync, or library issues. Please include your device model, iOS version, Ink & Echo app version, and a short description of what happened. We usually respond within 2 business days. You can join the community on Discord.

Still Deciding?

Preview the experience first, then set up the real app.

The website is for exploration. The installed app is where imports, playback, Premium, and personal library management actually happen.
